My Approach

Integrative psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach that allows for intentional tailoring and true personalization for each client's specific needs and goals---even adapting as frequently as mid-session or session-to-session. It's a more fluid and intuitive approach to practicing therapy, which then allows for a more holistic and individualized experience for you as the client. As an integrative psychotherapist, I consider the individual characteristics, needs, spiritual beliefs, motivation level, etc. of my clients and use my professional judgment to decide the best therapeutic approach. Within my integrative approach, I'll utilize several different evidence based practices, some of which include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

  • Functional Family Therapy

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Harm Reduction

  • EMDR

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

  • Mindfulness

  • Somatic Experiencing Therapy

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

  • Guided Self--Change

  • Interpersonal Therapy

  • Supportive Therapy

According to the APA, roughly 1--in--4 Americans experience a major mental health disorder, be it depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, or another. And if the 3,000--plus scientific studies tell us anything it's that therapeutic intervention is consistently the most effective form of treatment (even outplaying medication management for some disorders). But the science aside---you are worth it. I believe therapy can be the most powerful tool in your mental health journey, and it's not just beneficial for those with mental health disorders. Therapy can be more short--term and solution oriented, or therapy can be more long--term and recovery oriented. Therapy can be just as helpful for those with mental health disorders as it is for those who just need some support through a life transition or to address relationship and/or communication issues. My approach is simple: to meet you where you're at, and to support whatever goals you'd like to achieve through intentional and personalized psychotherapy.

Payment for Services

I currently only accept Medicaid and private pay for therapy sessions. This means that if you do not utilize Medicaid, I am considered an "out-of-network provider." Payment is due at time of session through cash, credit card, debit card, HSA or FSA. To collect payment, I utilize a secure and HIPAA compliant app created specifically for therapists called "Ivy Pay." More information is provided in the intake paperwork and my fees are located here
